Main span of 1,310 metres – 20 metres longer than the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco. The end spans on each side are 25 and 35 metres respectively. Construction of the bridge deck in steel and suspension cables will be carried out by M.T. Højgaard of Denmark.

The builder’s requirements toward net energy needs for the Bellona building is energy class A for the office section in compliance with the Energy classification scheme. This entails an annual energy requirement of 84 kWh or less per square metre. The project’s forecast as of the end of March is a record-breaking low 68 kWh. Veidekke holds the turnkey contract.

Profit before tax was MNOK 523.1 as against MNOK 815.6 in 2008. Revenues decreased by 20 per cent and were MNOK 15 558 compared with MNOK 19 395 in 2008. This gave a profit margin of 3.4 per cent compared with 4.2 percent the year before.
